Hello my name is Gemma. Mum, wife, crazy lady 😊 I'm taking part in Sense 100 cycle ride for Sense.With many events being cancelled this year I did not get to run the London marathon and stopped running at all 😔 on April 26th I woke with the urge to complete a marathon so got my bike out and off I went. I enjoyed it so much I found a new love for cycling going out for a few miles a week. Seeing this 100 mile cycle ride over 16 days has set the seed for my next challenge and fundraising to help others will give me the motivation to complete it 😳Sense provides expert support that's tailored to the individual needs of each person who has complex disabilities or is deafblind. That might be through their centres, holidays and short breaks, or in peoples own homes. In addition to practical support, they also offer information to families, and campaign for the rights of people with complex disabilities to take part in life.Here's what your sponsorship could help Sense do:- £25 could help pay for colourful, textured sight and sound tubes. These tubes contain jingling bells, so a child who is deafblind can explore different sounds and sensations.- £50 could help pay for a set of five light-up sight and sound tubes for a child who is deafblind to help stimulate their vision and hearing.- £100 could pay for a visit from a Sense Children and Family Support Worker who can give invaluable advice and support to the whole family when they need it most.Thanks for your continued support.
